Peter Van Buskirk

A 35-year veteran of the college admission process, Peter Van Buskirk is dedicated to helping families find student-centered solutions in college planning. His ability to personalize a complex and often mysterious college-going process has informed, inspired and entertained thousands of audiences around the world.

An insightful author/blogger, Peter’s book, “Prepare, Compete, Win!” is an interactive guide for students in the college planning process. His weekly blogs are featured on his website, BestCollegeFit.com, and he has appeared on numerous media interviews including “Oprah and Friends” with Jean Chatzky.

Peter is an active member of the National Association of College Admission Counselors.



Ethan Sawyer

Ethan Sawyer, the College Essay Guy, has been helping stdents tell their stories for more than ten years. He is a graduate of Northwestern University, received an MFA from UC Irvine, and received two counseling certifications, one from UC Irvine and another from the Interchange Counseling Institute. His life has been awesome and varied: he was raised in Spain, Ecuador and Colombia, and studied at 17 different schools. He’s worked as
a teacher, curriculum writer, voice actor, grant writer, theater director, motivational speaker, community organizer, and truck driver. (True story.) He’s also a certified Myers-Briggs® specialist and his type (ENFJ) will tell you that he will show up on time, he’ll be excited to meet you, and, more than anything, he’s committed to—and an expert in—helping you realize your potential. Ethan is a proud, active member of the Western Association of College Admissions Counselors (WACAC) and the National Association of College Admissions Counselors (NACAC).


Zac Rosensohn

Zac is a graduate from Wesleyan University. A football player, an English major, a lover of music, Zac continues to help us to find faster and more efficient ways to bring the lessons home to students. Sam Rosensohn

Sam Rosensohn is the founder of College Planning Partnerships, a college prep company that is known for exceptional results and the care and attention it gives to each and every student.The U.S. Congress, the Connecticut State Legislature, and statewide teacher organizations have recognized Sam for excellence in the field of education. Harvard University asked Sam to participate in a research project entitled, The College Access Collaborative. After completing a nationwide search, Yale University’s School of Management chose College Planning Partnerships as a company for its graduate students to partner with. sam@satprepct.com

Michael Kapernaros
Senior Tutor & Curriculum Coordinator

Mike is a graduate from Macalester College. He took math classes at Wesleyan University when he was in elementary school. He was ranked 15th in the nation in math in the tenth grade. Despite having more math in his little pinky that most people have in their entire beings, Mike was a down-to-earth football player in college, who also happens to be a champion scrabble player with a terrific sense of humor. Henry DelAngelo
Founder & Owner Your Key To College
Henry DelAngelo established DelAngelo Consulting, LLC and launched Your Key to College in 2008. Henry graduated from The University of Rhode Island with a BS in Secondary Education and and earned an M Ed. in School Counseling and Guidance from Providence College. With almost twenty years of experience at the high school level as a classroom teacher, administrator, and guidance counselor, Henry has helped thousands of students find the right path after high school.
